Clinical and radiographic findings of Monteggia fracture in a one-year-old-male mule [PDF]
The elbow joint is between the distal humerus and proximal radius and ulna. In uncommon cases, severe traumatic injury to the elbow may result in concomitant fracture and luxation or subluxation of its structure.

Traumatic radial head dislocation with ulnar plastic deformation is very rare. These neglected traumas resulted in a far more complex injury. Here is a rare case of injury in a 3‐year‐old child that was successfully treated. The initial close‐reduction attempt was fail due to annular ligament interposition.

An Unusual Terrible Triad Variant Associated with an Essex‐Lopresti Injury
Essex‐Lopresti injuries and terrible triad injuries of the elbow are rare injuries that typically result from high‐energy trauma such as falling from a height or a motor vehicle collision. However, the combination of an Essex‐Lopresti injury and terrible triad injury is unique and poses a significant challenge for treatment as these injuries are ...

This current study uses a finite element model to study the influence of absorbable screw designs in type II radial fractures. The 45° angle between two screws provided the optimal biomechanical effect, and generated wider stress distribution, and the minimum stress and displacement in screw fixation.

Wrist disarticulation associated with Monteggia fracture [PDF]
A 50-year-old man, right-handed farmer, was admitted to the emergency department after undergoing an agriculture accident. Physical examination on admission revealed a left wrist disarticulation with a deformity of the ipsilateral elbow and forearm (A ...

A‐B, posterior Monteggia fractures had comminuted fracture of metaphysis and dislocation of PRUJ. C‐D, posterior fracture‐dislocation of proximal ulna didn't have fracture of metaphysis and no dislocation of PRUJ. Objective To figure out the difference between patients with posterior Monteggia fractures which were concomitant with proximal radioulnar ...
