Neural modelling of Mooney viscosity of polybutadiene rubber

Computers and Chemical Engineering, 2005
Abstract Mooney viscosity is one of the important quality properties of polybutadiene rubber (PBR). It is important to implement appropriate measures to maintain and guarantee a uniform product quality required by the rubber processing industries.

Reduction of Variation in Mooney Viscosity of Polybutadiene Rubber

Communications in Computer and Information Science, 2012
Poly Butadiene Rubber (PBR) is used in rubber processing industries. Mooney viscosity is an important quality parameter of PBR. The design range of Mooney viscosity of the product from last reactor outlet is in the range of 37-47. The existing variation of Mooney viscosity is between 37 and 43 for 92% of the product.

EVALUATION OF THE MOONEY VISCOSITY/CONCENTRATION EQUATION FOR LIQUID-LIQUID EMULSIONS

Chemical Engineering Communications, 1990
Abstract Mooney's viscosity equation, originally proposed for concentrated solids in liquid suspensions, has been tested for stable liquid in liquid emulsions. Nine different emulsion systems have been considered. In none of the cases considered, Mooney's equation is found to adequately describe the viscosity/concentration behavior.
