Uplift of the Transantarctic Mountains: Evidence for an Evolving and Long‐Lived Rayleigh‐Taylor Instability

open access: yesTectonics, Volume 45, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Rayleigh‐Taylor instabilities within the upper mantle are investigated as a mechanism for the uplift of rift‐margin mountain ranges within the continents. Our focus is on the Transantarctic Mountains (TAM). These mountains form at the margin between East and West Antarctica and have been free from the effects of subduction for about 500 ...

Feasibility of preparing the stable high-content rubber modified asphalt with low mooney viscosity crumb rubber powder: formulation design and modification mechanism

open access: yesCleaner Materials
High-content rubber-modified asphalt (HC-RMA), incorporating over 25 % waste tire rubber powder, delivers environmental sustainability alongside enhanced pavement performance. However, a rubber content exceeding 30 % typically induces excessive viscosity

Lithosphere‐Asthenosphere Interactions Across the Indo‐Burma Subduction Zone From Sp Receiver Functions

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 11, 16 June 2026.
Abstract The Cenozoic convergence between the Indian and Asian plates has driven large‐scale mantle convection that interacts with both plates. Understanding this convergence benefits from clear imaging of the lithosphere‐asthenosphere boundary (LAB).

Performance of binary accelarator system on natural rubber compound

open access: yesMajalah Kulit, Karet, dan Plastik, 2018
Accelerator system provides different response onto the rubber compound, and in turn influences its final properties. Accelerators, such as 2,2'-Dithiobis (benzothiazole) (MBTS), N-Cyclohexylbenzothiazole-2-Sulfenamide (CBS) and diphenyl guanidine (DPG),

Processability and Crosslink Density: Role of Peptizers in Natural Rubber and Chlorobutyl Rubber

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 22, June 10, 2026.
This work evaluates how chemical and physical peptizers affect mastication, vulcanization behavior, and network formation in natural rubber and chlorobutyl rubber. Size‐exclusion chromatography, rheometry, DSC, and swelling analyses demonstrate improved processability but reduced crosslink density with peptizer addition.
