Downscaling of Soil Moisture Map using Sentinel Radar Satellite Images and Distribution Analysis in the West of Iran

open access: yesجغرافیا و پایداری محیط, 2020
Soil surface moisture is a key variable to describe drought, water and energy exchanges between the earth and the air. Due to the instability of spatial and temporal conditions, the environmental parameters affecting it are highly variable.

An analytical process of spatial autocorrelation functions based on Moran’s index

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2021
A number of spatial statistic measurements such as Moran’sIand Geary’sCcan be used for spatial autocorrelation analysis. Spatial autocorrelation modeling proceeded from the 1-dimension autocorrelation of time series analysis, with time lag replaced by spatial weights so that the autocorrelation functions degenerated to autocorrelation coefficients ...

Improving Moran’s Index to Identify Hot Spots in Traffic Safety [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This chapter aims at identifying accident hot spots by means of a local indicator of spatial association (LISA), more in particular Moran’s I. A straightforward use of this LISA is impossible, since it is not tailor-made for applications in traffic safety.

Spatial Interactions: Evaluation with the Help of Global and Local Moran’s Index [PDF]

open access: yesSpatial Economics, 2014
In the present work, the authors demonstrate the possibility of using Moran’s index and its components on the example of Samara region. As area units the study employs 37 municipalities of the 1st level - 10 urban districts and 27 municipal townships.

A Systematic Study of GelMA‐Carbopol Bioinks for High‐Fidelity Extrusion 3D Bioprinting at Physiological Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Gonzalez Martinez and collaborators develop a strategy to formulate high performance GelMA‐based bioinks with low solids contents. The resulting bioinks enable 3D bioprinting at 37 °C of high‐fidelity structures with tunable mechanical properties that support high cell viability and function.

SIRT6‐Mediated Deacetylation of ATF3 Promotes Silica‐Induced Lung Fibrosis by Enhancing its Nuclear Import via Binding to Importin α

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SIRT6‐mediated ATF3 acetylation drives MGARP transcription and mitochondrial dysfunction in macrophages, promoting macrophage senescence and pulmonary fibrosis. Mechanistically, HSP70/Importin α competitively binds to ATF3, modulating its nuclear translocation.
