Role of a Habitat's Air Humidity in Covid-19 Mortality [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Transient local over-dry environment might be a contributor and an explanation for the observed asynchronous local rises in Covid-19 mortality. We propose that a habitat's air humidity negatively correlate with Covid-19 morbidity and mortality, and support this hypothesis on the example of publicly available data from German federal states.

Morbidity, mortality and the illness-death model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
In this article, we use the illness-death model to present a mathematical framework for studying the compression of morbidity (COM) hypothesis. It turns out that questions about COM are completely determined by the transition rates in the illness-death model and a closely related partial differential equation.
