Multimodal treatment of gastric cancer in the west: Where are we going? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The incidence of gastric cancer (GC) is decreasing worldwide, especially for intestinal histotype of the distal third of the stomach. On the contrary, proximal location and diffuse Lauren histotype have been reported to be generally stable over time.

Electro‐Conductive Silver‐Coated Polyamide‐Imide Membranes for Sustainable Water Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, Volume 10, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study reports the development of a silver‐coated, electro‐conductive ultrafiltration membrane supported on polyamide‐imide. Using a simple and scalable spray‐coating method, the membrane achieved a high electrical conductivity of 2.215 × 10−5 S cm−1.

Laparoscopic Repair of Morgagni Hernia

open access: yesÇukurova Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Dergisi, 2015
Morgagni hernia is a congenital herniation of abdominal contents into the thoracic cavity through a retrosternal diaphragmatic defect and make up about 1 % - 5 % of all types of congenital diaphragmatic hernias.

Short time behaviour for game-theoretic $p$-caloric functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We consider the solution of $u_t-\Delta^G_p u=0$ in a (not necessarily bounded) domain, satisfying $u=0$ initially and $u=1$ on the boundary at all times. Here, $\Delta^G_p u$ is the game-theoretic or normalized $p$-laplacian.

Impact of Intended Isocaloric Early versus Late Time‐Restricted Eating on Plasma Lipidome in Women with Overweight or Obesity: Secondary Analysis of the ChronoFast Trial

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 4, 19 January 2026.
Women with overweight or obesity follow intended isocaloric early and late time‐restricted eating (TRE) in a crossover trial. Shotgun plasma lipidomics reveals no significant differences between interventions, but identify pronounced lipid changes—including reductions in ceramides and phosphatidylcholines—within the early TRE.

A note on Serrin's overdetermined problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We consider the solution of the torsion problem $-\Delta u=1$ in $\Omega$ and $u=0$ on $\partial \Omega$. Serrin's celebrated symmetry theorem states that, if the normal derivative $u_\nu$ is constant on $\partial \Omega$, then $\Omega$ must be a ball ...

Pancreatic Pseudocyst With Thoracic Extension: A Clinicoradiological Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
CECT sagittal view shows an enlarged, heterogeneously enhancing pancreas with a peripancreatic collection extending into the posterior mediastinum and compressing the esophagus with massive right pleural fluid noted. ABSTRACT Pancreatic pseudocysts are encapsulated, enzyme‐rich peripancreatic fluid collections that typically develop following acute or ...

Laparoscopic morgagni hernia repair using single-site umbilical and full-thickness abdominal wall repair: Technical report of two cases

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Paediatric Surgery, 2013
Single incision laparoscopic surgery is used in many centres for routine cases such as appendisectomy, splenectomy and cholecystectomy. Morgagni hernias are uncommon and account for 1-2% of all congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
