The interaction of morin and morin-5’-sulfonic acid with lead(II): Study of the 1:1 complex formation process in aqueous solution

open access: yesMain Group Metal Chemistry, 2019
This article focuses on the aqueous complexation between two flavonoids (morin and morinsulfonate) and Pb2+ at constant ionic strength I=0.5 M (NaClO4). The determination of stability constants of ML complexes were performed at wide pH range.

Resilience through diversity: The potential of modelling species and variety interactions to enhance resilience of production systems

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Agricultural production systems in the global North combine monocultures of specialised varieties and breeds with external interventions and inputs. Increasing the diversity of varieties, breeds and species may increase the system's resilience to external pressures through beneficial interactions.

In Vivo Wound‐Healing and Molecular Docking Studies Support the Traditional Use of Arisarum vulgare Aqueous Extract

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
Arisarum vulgare aqueous extract showed safe and effective wound‐healing activity in vivo. Molecular docking supported the role of its phytoconstituents in modulating inflammation, angiogenesis and tissue regeneration, validating its traditional use in Algeria. ABSTRACT In Algerian traditional medicine, Arisarum vulgare O. Targ. Tozz.

A very special EPW sextic and two IHS fourfolds

open access: yes, 2016
We show that the Hilbert scheme of two points on the Vinberg $K3$ surface has a 2:1 map onto a very symmetric EPW sextic $Y$ in $\mathbb{P}^5$. The fourfold $Y$ is singular along $60$ planes, $20$ of which form a complete family of incident planes.

Using MALDI‐FTICR Mass Spectrometry to Enhance ZooMS Identifications of Pleistocene Bone Fragments Showing Variable Collagen Preservation

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Rationale Recent advances in high‐throughput molecular analyses of collagen peptides, especially ZooMS (Zooarchaeology by Mass Spectrometry), have permitted breakthroughs in the analysis of archaeological material that is highly fragmented, a factor that hinders morphological identification.

The mechanism of morin combined with celastrol induces apoptosis and inhibits the growth of lung cancer

open access: yesFood Science and Human Wellness
Morin is a functional flavonoid commonly found in human diet. Compared to being used solely, it is evident that morin can be more effective as a drug adjuvant. However, research on the combined effect and its corresponding mechanism is limited.

Symmetry classes of alternating sign matrices in the nineteen-vertex model

open access: yes, 2016
The nineteen-vertex model on a periodic lattice with an anti-diagonal twist is investigated. Its inhomogeneous transfer matrix is shown to have a simple eigenvalue, with the corresponding eigenstate displaying intriguing combinatorial features.
