Equivalent dynamic modeling of flexible morphing aircraft. [PDF]
A morphing aircraft can maintain optimal flight performance by adaptively changing shape. However, large deformation and fast motion of aircraft modules lead to complicated dynamics during morphing process. This paper proposes a mechanistic equivalent model with parameters identified by optimization method.

Virtual Sensor for Failure Detection, Identification and Recovery in the Transition Phase of a Morphing Aircraft [PDF]
The Helicopter Adaptive Aircraft (HADA) is a morphing aircraft which is able to take-off as a helicopter and, when in forward flight, unfold the wings that are hidden under the fuselage, and transfer the power from the main rotor to a propeller, thus ...

CGull: A Non-Flapping Bioinspired Composite Morphing Drone [PDF]
Despite the tremendous advances in aircraft design that led to successful powered flights of aircraft as heavy as the Antonov An-225 Mriya, which weighs 640 tons, or as fast as the NASA-X-43A, which reached a record of Mach 9.6, many characteristics of ...

Aircraft Morphing program [PDF]
In the last decade smart technologies have become enablers that cut across traditional boundaries in materials science and engineering. Here we define smart to mean embedded actuation, sensing, and control logic in a tightly coupled feedback loop.

Status and Perspectives of Commercial Aircraft Morphing [PDF]
In a previous paper, the authors dealt with the current showstoppers that inhibit commercial applicability of morphing systems. In this work, the authors express a critical vision of the current status of the proposed architectures and the needs that should be accomplished to make them viable for installation onboard of commercial aircraft.
