Modeling and Flight Control of Small UAV with Active Morphing Wings
In recent research works, morphing wings were studied as an interesting field for a small unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The previous studies either focused on selecting suitable material for the morphing wings or performing experimental tests on UAVs ...

AERODYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF MORPHING WING.
This thesis presents a modelling and design exploration study of a novel twisting wing whose motion is enabled by a tensegrity mechanism. First, the aerodynamic characteristics of the twisting wing, which does not require control surfaces to modulate its shape, are compared with those of a conventional wing having a control surface.

Conceptual-level evaluation of a variable stiffness skin for a morphing wing leading edge [PDF]
A morphing leading edge produces a continuous aerodynamic surface that has no gaps between the moving and fixed parts. The continuous seamless shape has the potential to reduce drag, compared to conventional devices, such as slats that produce a discrete
