Galaxy Morphologies in the Cluster CL1358+62 at z=0.33 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We describe the morphological composition of a sample of 518 galaxies in the field of CL1358+62 at z=0.33, drawn from a large HST mosaic covering 53 sq. arcmin. The sample is complete to I=22, corresponding to M_V=-18.5 in the rest frame.

Terminologization of Coloronyms of Metal and Mineral Etymological Origin: Evolutionary Aspect

open access: yesДискурс профессиональной коммуникации, 2022
This paper is devoted to the study of French coloronyms and their terminologization in different subtypes of scientific discourse. The research is based on coloronyms of mineral origin “(jaune / vert / brun / rouge d’)andalousite” and “quartz (blanc ...

On the path to a new generation of cement-based composites through the use of lignocellulosic micro/nanofibers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Due to its high biocompatibility, bio-degradability, and low cost, cellulose finds application in disparate areas of research. Here we focus our attention on the potential applications of cellulose nanofiber in cement-basedmaterials for the building ...

Data incongruence and the problem of avian louse phylogeny [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Recent studies based on different types of data (i.e. morphological and molecular) have supported conflicting phylogenies for the genera of avian feather lice (Ischnocera: Phthiraptera).

Does the lowering strategy before the stockpiling period modify the marandu palisade grass production and structure?

open access: yesArquivo Brasileiro de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia, 2021
The objective was to identify lowering strategies for Urochloa brizantha cv. Marandu in the beginning of the stockpiling period that increase forage production and improve the structure of stockpiled canopies.

Relative impacts of morphological alteration to shorelines and eutrophication on littoral macroinvertebrates in Mediterranean lakes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Development of effective methods for assessing the ecological status of lakes based on littoral benthic fauna has been hampered by the lack of quantitative data on the relative impacts of key pressures on the benthic community.

Formation of composite coatings: morphology and composition studies

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2023
In this work, composite fluoropolymer-containing coatings were obtained on samples of AMg3 aluminium alloy, MA8 magnesium alloy, and VT1-0 commercially pure titanium treated by plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO). Superdispersed polytetrafluoroethylene (SPTFE) and a solution of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) telomers in acetone were applied onto ...

Influence of the initial chemical conditions on the rational design of silica particles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The influence of the water content in the initial composition on the size of silica particles produced using the Stöber process is well known. We have shown that there are three morphological regimes defined by compositional boundaries.
