Preparation and Characterization Study of ZnS Thin Films with Different Substrate Temperatures [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2016
Zinc sulfide (ZnS) thin films were deposited on a glass and n-type Silicon wafer substrates at temperature range from 50 - 200 Co using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique. The structural, morphological, optical and electrical properties of the films

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Effect of polyethylene glycol on BaTiO(3) nanoparticles prepared by hydrothermal preparation

open access: yesIET Nanodielectrics, 2020
This work investigated the effect of polyethylene glycol (PEG) as an additive on barium titanate (BaTiO(3), BT) nanoparticles (NPs) synthesised by a hydrothermal process.

A multicomponent model of the infrared emission from Comet Halley [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
A model based on a mixture of coated silicates and amorphous carbon grains produces a good spectral match to the available Halley data and is consistent with the compositional and morphological information derived from interplanetary dust particle ...

Morphological Properties of Elliptical Galaxies [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1987
In the poster as presented at the meeting, I described global morphological properties of elliptical galaxies, based on the data from a CCD surface photometry survey of ~ 200 ellipticals and ~ 50 SO's (Djorgovski 1985). In this brief summary, I emphasize two points: (1) there is a very weak and very noisy trend of radial shape with luminosity, in the ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Analysis of similarities and differences of accessions belonging to Prunus domestica L. and P. insititia L. using endocarp dimensions

open access: yesВавиловский журнал генетики и селекции
The endocarp or stone is the most stable morphological feature of the genus Prunus. However, the identification of plum types, groups and/or genotypes based on endocarp is complicated because of a wide range of variation and morphological transitional ...
