Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

AFLP molecular characterizations of some Saccobolus species (Ascomycota, Pezizales) [PDF]
Amplified restriction fragment length polymorphisms (AFLP) were used to assess the genetic diversity among species and isolates of the genus Saccobolus. Monosporic strains of five Saccobolus species were used throughout.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Modeling the effect of soil meso- and macropores topology on the biodegradation of a soluble carbon substrate [PDF]
Soil structure and interactions between biotic and abiotic processes are increasingly recognized as important for explaining the large uncertainties in the outputs of macroscopic SOM decomposition models.

To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

Morphological variability of Navicula perminuta Grunow
Approximately 500 specimens of Navicula perminuta Grunow. were analyzed from light micrographs on the basis of the shape of valve, apices, the direction and density of the striae at the centre, the shape and width of the central area, and the length and breadth of the valve. The data were compared withprevious description of Navicula perminuta Grunow.

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Morphological variability of Cymbella japonica Reichelt
397 individuals were researched on material from Tane Pond, Tottori City. The various structures of frustule and their frequencies are shown in Table 1.These frequency show no great difference from those published before for frequency calculations based on microphotograph. Frustule lengths range from 43.5-58μm, width 10.5-14μm, with striae density from

Genetic analysis and qtl mapping of agro-morphological traits in lowland rice (Oryza sativa L.) under drought conditions [PDF]
The present study was undertaken to evaluate lowland rice genetic variability associated with agro-morphological traits under drought condition. A set of 250 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) from the cross between rice parental cultivarIR64 (sensitive to ...
