Morphological variability of Jania longifurca (Corallinales, Rhodophyta) in Galicia, northwestern Spain

open access: yesAnales del Jardín Botánico de Madrid, 2019
Material of Jania J.V.Lamour. with a different morphology from the typical one attributed to J. longifurca Zanardini and J. rubens (L.) J.V.Lamour.—the only species in this habitat in Galicia—has been detected in the maerl beds of Galicia.

Cup‐Like Nuclei Is a Hallmark of DUX4/ERG Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and Reveals Cytoplasmic Mitochondria Accumulation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cup‐like nuclei are a distinctive morphological feature observed in certain cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). We provide evidence that they characterize DUX4/ERG ALL independently of IKZF1 deletion and reveal marked mitochondrial accumulation in this ALL subset.

Prevalence of 21 Physician‐Defined Severe Toxicities Following Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Treatment: Australian Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common pediatric cancer, with an overall survival now surpassing 90% in developed countries. However, treatments are not without adverse effects. In this study, we apply the severe toxicity‐free survival (STFS) framework to determine the prevalence of 21 physician‐defined severe ...

Personalized Zebrafish Models for Fusion‐Positive Pediatric Sarcomas

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Clinical sequencing efforts have revolutionized our approaches to categorizing pediatric cancers in real time. This has dramatically improved our ability to profile pediatric tumors, identify actionable vulnerabilities, and influence clinical care.

Measurable Residual Disease Monitoring During Treatment for Pediatric Acute Myeloid Leukemia in First Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Survival after relapse in pediatric acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remains poor, highlighting the critical importance of identifying prognostic factors to guide optimal relapse management. Methods We investigated the prognostic impact of multiparameter flow cytometry (MFC) measurable residual disease (MRD) in 188 patients with first ...

Natural Killer Cells in Paediatric Soft Tissue Sarcomas: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Paediatric soft tissue sarcomas (pSTS) are a rare and heterogeneous group of malignant tumours arising in tissues of mesenchymal origin. The role of natural killer (NK) cells in pSTS remains poorly understood, with evidence fragmented across small preclinical studies and early‐phase clinical trials.

Morphological variations of Hymeniacidon perlevis in north Atlantic and China Yellow Sea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Sponges (Porifera) are among the most diverse phylum of the 28 aquatic invertebrate phyla, in terms of the numbers of species and their morphological characters (Hooper and Van Soest, 2002). The sponge polymorphism (i.e.
