OTUD6A in Airway Epithelial Cells Exacerbates Allergic Asthma by Promoting Airway Inflammation and Airway Remodeling Through Deubiquitination of hResistin/mRELMα

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study elucidates a novel mechanistic role of the deubiquitinase OTUD6A in asthma pathogenesis, uncovering its regulatory function in airway inflammation and airway remodeling through the stabilization of hResistin/mRELMα. This study offers a novel regulatory axis (OTUD6A‐hResistin/mRELMα) in asthma pathogenesis and OTUD6A inhibition as a potential

An occurrence of the rare Sharptail Mola Masturus lanceolatus (Lienard, 1840) (Tetraodontiformes: Molidae), in the coastal waters of Visakhapatnam, India

open access: yesJournal of Threatened Taxa, 2016
A single specimen of the Sharptail Mola Masturus lanceolatus (Lienard, 1840) (total length 1.39m) was collected from a commercial trawler operated from Visakhapatnam at a depth range of 150–300 m, east coast of India on 12 April 2016.

Morphometric description of uterus wall of the irradiated animals posterity

open access: yesМорфологія, 2008
The morphometric parameters of uterus wall in postnatal ontogenesis of first generation offsprings after -ray exposure of male and female rats before coupling were investigated. The animals were exposured by total fractionating -irradiation in a dose 1,0 Gy. The animals were allowed to couple after completion of irradiation.

Integrated Microfluidic Platform for High‐Throughput Generation of Intestinal Organoids in Hydrogel Droplets

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Organoid research offers valuable insights into human biology and disease, but reproducibility and scalability remain significant challenges, particularly for epithelial organoids. Here, we present an integrated microfluidic platform that addresses these limitations by enabling high‐throughput generation of uniform hydrogel microparticles ...

First record of the genus Megachernes (Pseudoscorpiones: Chernetidae) from an Iranian cave

open access: yesArachnologische Mitteilungen, 2013
The pseudoscorpion genus Megachernes is recorded for the first time in Iran. Adults and protonymphs of Megachernes pavlovskyi Redikorzev, 1949 were found in a porcupine nest and under stones in the Deh Sheikh (Pataveh) cave, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad ...

SLC2A3‐Mediated Lactate Metabolism Promotes Lung Cancer Bone Metastasis by Modulating P53 Lactylation and Immune Evasion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SLC2A3 derived lactate promotes metastasis through p53 lactylation at K120 and osteoclast differentiation. Pharmacological inhibition of SLC2A3 upregulates PD‐1 expression on CD8+ T cells via lactate induced p53 lactylation, which modulates immune evasion. ABSTRACT Bone metastasis is a devastating consequence of lung cancer.

F‐Box and Leucine‐Rich Repeat Protein 4 (FBXL4) Maintains Sarcomere Integrity and Cardiac Function by Enhancing K48‐Linked Ubiquitinated Degradation of Profilin‐1 (PFN1)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic diagram depicting the proposed signaling mechanisms underlying the effects of FBXL4 in the setting of cardiac hypertrophy. Under hypertrophic stimulation, cardiomyocytes‐specific overexpression FBXL4 maintains sarcomere integrity and cardiac function by enhancing K48‐linked ubiquitinated degradation of PFN1 at the K70 site.

A New Species of Diacyclops (Copepoda, Cyclopoida) from the D. crassicaudis (Sars, 1863) Species Group with Critical Taxonomy Remarks

open access: yesDiversity
A new species, Diacyclops dyabdar sp. nov. from the Diacyclops crassicaudis (Sars, 1863) species group from northern Middle Siberia, is described. This species is interesting from an ecological point of view, as it lives mainly in watercourses.

Mechanical Stimuli‐Induced Manipulation of Malignant Behavior in Bioprinted Cancer Microtissues via PI3K/NF‐κB Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A mechanically tunable ECM platform is created by integrating dECM–alginate matrices with in‐bath tumor printing. The mechanically tunable ECM environment drives tumors to acquire hypoxia, mechanotransduction signaling, metastatic traits, and drug‐resistant phenotypes that collectively promote malignant transformation.

Morphometric synthesis of Pollimyrus (Teleostei, Mormyridae) with the description of four new species

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology
AbstractMormyridae, a species‐rich family endemic to Africa, remains taxonomically understudied. This has been the case for the genus Pollimyrus Taverne, 1971, which hinders further understanding of the distribution, ecology, and conservation of its species.
