Generation of a Novel Col8a2P2A‐CreERT2 Mouse Line Enables Targeted Genetic Manipulation of Corneal Endothelial Cells and Modeling of Endothelial Decompensation

open access: yesgenesis, Volume 64, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT The corneal endothelium is a monolayer of specialized cells that maintains stromal deturgescence and transparency, functions essential for vision. Despite its clinical importance, the developmental origins and homeostatic programs of the endothelium remain poorly understood, in part due to the lack of a lineage‐specific genetic driver.

Evaluation of Brain Microstructural Alterations in Preschool Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Voxel‐Wise Multimodal MRI Study

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Volume 63, Issue 4, Page 1053-1066, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) presents with early neurodevelopmental alterations in preschool children, yet comprehensive characterization using multimodal quantitative MRI remains limited in this age group. Purpose To investigate voxel‐wise brain microstructural differences in preschool ASD through integrated analysis of cerebral ...

Deep Learning Reconstruction for 129Xe Diffusion‐Weighted MRI Enables Use of Natural Abundant Xenon and Improved Image Acceleration

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 4, Page 2214-2222, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose (i) To assess whether 129Xe apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and diffusive length scale (LmD) metrics are quantitatively preserved with deep learning (DL) accelerated acquisition and reconstruction and (ii) to evaluate the feasibility of 129Xe diffusion weighted imaging with natural‐abundance xenon at increased acceleration factors.

Longitudinal 3D‐DCE MRI Assessment of Placental Perfusion Under Reduced Uterine Perfusion Pressure in Pregnant Rats

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 4, April 2026.
This first application of longitudinal 3D‐DCE MRI in the RUPP model demonstrated acute perfusion deficits after RUPP that resolved rapidly with advancing gestation, consistent with the adaptive placental responses to reduced uterine blood flow. ABSTRACT Placental insufficiency is a major cause of preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction.
