Experimental studies on multi‐scale data‐driven methods within the framework of structural health monitoring

open access: yesCivil Engineering Design, EarlyView.
Abstract The German Research Foundation has established the priority program SPP 100+. Its subject is monitoring bridge structures in civil engineering. The data‐driven methods cluster deals with the use of measurements and their special global and local analysis methods, which complement each other in an overall multi‐scale concept in order to realize

Mechanochemical Synthesis of Pillar[5]arene‐based [c2]Daisy Chain Rotaxanes

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
[c2]Daisy chain rotaxanes have been prepared under solvent‐free mechanochemical conditions by acylation of pillar[5]arene derivatives bearing either a 11‐hydroxy‐undecyl or 11‐amino‐undecyl subunit. Concentration effects are clearly beneficial as daisy chain assemblies are effectively present in the solid state despite the very weak affinity of the ...

Mechanochemical Enantiospecific Syntheses of Sulfonimidate Esters and Sulfonimidamides by Various S(VI) Exchange Reactions

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
Mechanochemical S(VI) exchange reactions enable the solvent‐free, enantiospecific synthesis of sulfonimidate esters and sulfonimidamides by substituting S(VI)F or S(VI)Cl with phenols and anilines. This further opens green chemistries to the field of asymmetric synthesis.

UV to IR Continuous Photocatalytic Gas‐Phase CO2 Hydrogenation Over Ni‐Doped Molybdenum Oxysulfide: An Experimental and Mechanistic Study

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Low crystalline Ni‐doped molybdenum oxysulfide (Ni–MoOxSy) with 2H–MoS2 structure is synthesized using a hydrothermal procedure. This material shows continuous photocatalytic activity toward CO2 reduction under LED illumination from UV to IR to produce CO and CH4 with high conversion rates.
