Gene expression in chick morula

Roux's Archives of Developmental Biology, 1988
The polypeptides synthesized during the morula stage in the chick embryo are insensitive to transcriptional inhibition by α-amanitin. Protein synthesis seems to depend predominantely, if not exclusively, on the recruitment of maternal mRNA, rather than on embryonic gene expression in chick morula.

Differentiation in the mouse morulae

Wilhelm Roux's Archives of Developmental Biology, 1975
A cytochemical method has been used to test claims that the differentiation of the mouse morulae can be accounted for by the position of the blastomeres: the central becoming inner mass cells and the peripheral trophoblast cells. The cytochemical method is an adaptation of Gomori-Takamatsu's demonstration of alkaline phosphatase activity, which stains ...

Embryonic Stem Cells from Morula

2006
It has been shown that it is possible to establish human embryonic stem cell (hESC) lines from morula. Details of the aforementioned injection method of morula under blastocyst are described in this chapter. This chapter also discloses the application of simultaneous staining for two markers, TRA-2-39 and Oct-4, for characteristics of nondifferentiated

In vitro generation of mouse morula-like cells

Developmental Cell, 2023
Generating cells with the molecular and functional properties of embryo cells and with full developmental potential is an aim with fundamental biological significance. Here we report the in vitro generation of mouse transient morula-like cells (MLCs) via the manipulation of signaling pathways.
