To describe and compare the ongoing pregnancy rate between morulae and cavitating morulae (CAVM) transferred on day 5, to describe and compare the blastulation rate between day 5 morulae and CAVM, and to describe the pregnancy rate of these slow-developing blastocysts during a frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycle.Retrospective cohort study.Single ...

A successful vitrification technique for goat morulae conservation
Theriogenology, 2022The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of different vitrification and warming processes on the in vitro embryo survival of caprine morulae, considering the day of recovery. A total of 136 morulae of Criolla-Neuquina goats recovered on Days 7 or 8 after sponge removal, were exposed to three different vitrification processes; V1 (n = 48 ...

Transfer of Vitrified Sheep Morula
Reproduction in Domestic Animals, 1989ContentsThe aim of the experiment was to determine the susceptibility to vitrification of the sheep morula. As a vitrification medium the mixture of 35% glycerol + 30% 1,2 propanediol or 30% glycerol + 35% 1,2 propanediol was used. The embryos were fiozen in glass ampules placed for 5 min in nitrogen uapour before plunging to liquid nitrogen.

Generation of Chimeras by Morula Aggregation
2009This chapter describes the tools and the experimental route of targeted manipulation by aggregation in the mouse using targeted embryonic stem cells (ES cells). Instead of injecting ES cells into the blastocoel of a diploid blastocyst-stage embryo (3.5 dpc) ES cells can be brought together with diploid morula-stage embryos (2.5 dpc). The zona pellucida

Binucleate cells in mouse morulae
Wilhelm Roux's Archives of Developmental Biology, 1985Mouse morulae from two strains were examined in whole mounts after dissociation of embryos into single cells and were analysed in serial sections by light and electron microscopy. One or two binucleate cells per embryo were discovered in a statistically significant number of morulae.
