Vitrification of in vitro cultured rabbit morulae
Animal Reproduction Science, 2003In the present work, we attempt to establish an efficient vitrification procedure for 32-cell rabbit embryos obtained in vitro. In experiment 1, both the effect of the composition of the vitrification solutions and the cryoprotectant addition (either in one or two steps) were studied.

Micromanipulation of sheep morulae to produce monozygotic twins
Theriogenology, 1984Donor ewes were treated with an intravaginal sponge containing 30 mg fluorogestone acetate (FGA) which was removed 12 days later. On the mornings of days 10, 11, and 12, each animal received 30 mg horse anterior pituitary (HAP) extract. Donors were mated twice daily during oestrus.

The incorporation of labelled nucleosides by mouse morulae

Assessment of metabolism of equine morulae and blastocysts
Molecular Reproduction and Development, 2001AbstractNutrient uptakes and metabolite production by equine morula and blastocyst stage embryos were determined by non‐invasive microfluorometry. Equine morula took up equal amounts of both pyruvate and glucose. However, at the early blastocyst there was a small increase in glucose uptake and, by the expanded blastocyst stage, glucose was ...

Chimerism in cattle through microsurgical aggregation of morulae
Theriogenology, 1984A cattle chimera was produced by combining four halves of two parent embryos of different breeds (Brown-Swiss x Braunvieh plus Holstein-Friesian x Holstein-Friesian) in one zona pellucida. Parent embryos in the 32-cell morula stage were recovered non-surgically, were bisected, and the combined four halves were transferred non-surgically to recipient ...
