Mulberry (Morus nigra L.) is non-toxic natural therapeutic agent shown to possess hypotensive and diuretic properties. The alcoholic extract of Morus nigra L. leaves was tested for hypoglycaemic effect in normal and streptozotocin-diabetic rats.
