Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Decay within covariant confined quark model
We study the rare semileptonic decays of Bc mesons within the effective field theoretical framework of covariant confined quark model. The transition form factors corresponding to Bc+→D(*)+ and Bc+→Ds(*)+ are computed in the entire q2 range. Using form factors, we compute the branching fractions and compare them with the available theoretical results ...

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Revisiting semileptonic decays
We systematically revisit the baryonic four-body semileptonic decays of B−→BB¯′ℓ−ν¯ℓ by the perturbative QCD counting rules with B representing octet baryons and ℓ=e, μ. We study the transition form factors of B−→BB¯′ in the limit of (pB+pB¯′)2→∞ with the three-body B¯→BB¯′M and B−→pp¯μ−ν¯μ data along with SU(3)f flavor symmetry. We calculate the decay

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Angular analysis of decays as a probe to lepton flavor universality violation
The flavor anomalies reported in RK, RK*, P5′, and B(Bs→ϕμ+μ−) indicate lepton flavor universality violation in b→sl+l− quark level transition decays. The deviation from the standard model prediction reported in the underlying flavor observables currently stands at the level of 2.5σ, 2.4σ, 3.3σ, and 3.7σ, respectively.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...
