Quantum transport through MoS$_2$ constrictions defined by photodoping
We present a device scheme to explore mesoscopic transport through molybdenum disulfide (MoS$_2$) constrictions using photodoping. The devices are based on van-der-Waals heterostructures where few-layer MoS$_2$ flakes are partially encapsulated by ...

Multiple Transcoding Impact on Speech Quality in Ideal Network Conditions
This paper deals with the impact of transcoding on the speech quality. We have focused mainly on the transcoding between codecs without the negative influence of the network parameters such as packet loss and delay.

We study lepton flavor violating (LFV) B decays in a general two Higgs doublet model with sub-TeV exotic scalars. Two different parameter spaces are explored: one dominated by extra top Yukawa coupling ρtt, the other by LFV couplings relevant for the muon g−2 anomaly. In the first case, flavor constraints such as ℓ→ℓ′γ, h→ℓℓ′ imply LFV B decays are far

Low-Frequency Raman Modes and Electronic Excitations In Atomically Thin MoS2 Crystals [PDF]
Atomically thin MoS$_{2}$ crystals have been recognized as a quasi-2D semiconductor with remarkable physics properties. This letter reports our Raman scattering measurements on multilayer and monolayer MoS$_{2}$, especially in the low-frequency range ($

Sickle Cell Disease Is an Inherent Risk for Asthma in a Sibling Comparison Study
ABSTRACT Introduction Sickle cell disease (SCD) and asthma share a complex relationship. Although estimates vary, asthma prevalence in children with SCD is believed to be comparable to or higher than the general population. Determining whether SCD confers an increased risk for asthma remains challenging due to overlapping symptoms and the ...

We present the first lattice QCD determination of the Λb→Λ*(1520) vector, axial vector, and tensor form factors that are relevant for the rare decays Λb→Λ*(1520)ℓ+ℓ−. The lattice calculation is performed in the Λ*(1520) rest frame with nonzero Λb momenta, and is limited to the high-q2 region. An interpolating field with covariant derivatives is used to

Monolayer MoS$_2$ has emerged as an interesting material for nanoelectronic and optoelectronic devices. The effect of substrate screening and defects on the electronic structure of MoS$_2$ are important considerations in the design of such devices. Here,

ABSTRACT Background While Wilms tumor (WT) typically has a favorable prognosis, relapsed cases—especially those with high‐risk histology—remain therapeutically challenging after intensive frontline therapy. The combination of vincristine and irinotecan has demonstrated activity in pediatric solid tumors, and pazopanib, a multi‐targeted tyrosine kinase ...

Resonant contributions to three-body decays in the perturbative QCD approach
In this work, we study the S, P, and D wave resonance contributions to three-body decays B(s)→[D(*),D¯(*)]K+K− by employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach, where the kaon-kaon invariant mass spectra are dominated by the f0(980), f0(1370), ϕ(1020), ϕ(1680), f2(1270), f2′(1525), f2(1750), and f2(1950) resonances.
