Synthesis and characterization of large-sized monolayer MoS2 nanoflakes by sulfurization of exfoliated MoO3 powder

We demonstrate a novel approach based on sulfurization of MoO3 powder pre-exfoliated on the SiO2/Si substrate to synthesize high crystalline quality and large-sized monolayer MoS2 films uniformly covering the whole substrate.

Tip-enhanced photoluminescence of monolayer MoS2 increased and spectrally shifted by injection of electrons

Using tip-enhanced photoluminescence (TEPL), we investigate micron-size monolayer MoS2 flakes. In a sequence of studies, we apply various voltages between the Ag-coated nano-tip and the MoS2 flakes and observe an intriguing result.
