Correlative Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Imaging and Atomic Force Microscopy of Lithium Deposited on Copper

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 26, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
The correlation of a spectroscopic (EPRI) and microscopic (AFM) technique is demonstrated for a sample of Li deposited on Cu. Areas of different morphology were analysed. The techniques complement each other's length scales as well as the information obtained from the sample.

Controlling Lampenflora in Heritage Sites: In Situ Testing of Polyoxometalate–Ionic Liquids in the Pommery Champagne Cellar

open access: yesChemPlusChem, EarlyView.
The article evaluates polyoxometalate–ionic liquids (POM–ILs) as biocidal agents against lampenflora in the UNESCO‐listed Pommery Champagne cellar. POM–ILs effectively inhibit microbial colonization over one year with minimal visual impact and outperform the commercial biocide Preventol RI80.

Hierarchical Microstructured K3V2(PO4)3/C‐Composite Electrode for Potassium‐Ion Batteries through Scalable Spray‐Drying Approach

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
By systematically varying the carbon source contents the microstructure and morphology of the granules can be adjusted leading to optimized electrochemical performance. Potassium vanadium phosphate K3V2(PO4)3 (KVP) is a promising polyanionic cathodic material for potassium‐ion batteries.
