Energy analysis of robot task motions

Journal of Intelligent and Robotic Systems, 1991
An energy criterion for choosing the best type of manipulator for a specified task is developed. First, the energy required to perform the robotic task is calculated. Then the lower bound of the mechanical energy consumed by the various kinds of manipulators during their motion, while performing a task, is calculated.

Motion energy analysis (MEA): A primer on the assessment of motion from video.

Journal of Counseling Psychology, 2020
Nonverbal behavior is a central factor influencing the therapeutic relationship. Despite broad agreement on its importance, empirical studies assessing nonverbal behavior in counseling and psychotherapy are relatively scarce and often limited to few cases. One restraining factor may be the resources needed when assessing nonverbal behavior.

Analysis Motion Imagination EEG Signal in Spatiotemporal-energy domain

Proceedings of the 2019 3rd International Conference on Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, 2019
Brain is the most advanced part of the nervous system. As an emerging neighborhood exploring the brain, the brain-computer interface (BCI) may completely influence people's current communication and lifestyle in the future. We propose an architecture for feature extraction and classification model in brain-computer interface (BCI).

Steady state analysis of a human motion electromechanical energy harvester

2016 28th International Conference on Microelectronics (ICM), 2016
The topic of electric energy harvesting from mechanical vibrations has been gaining increasing momentum due to its wide range of potential applications. Recently, harvesting from human motion has been especially considered appealing due to the sharp increase in the fabrication of wearable and biomedical devices. This paper presents an analytical steady

Motion Energy Alignment Analysis in Dialogue

2024 IEEE 15th International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications (CogInfoCom)
We study physical alignment in conversations and motion energy (ME) validation. ME is estimated through counts of pixel changes in video regions of interest. ME of interlocutors is quantified with the MEA system, which uses a frame difference algorithm, and it is designed and widely deployed in situations defined to involve a natural dialogue.

Energy analysis of wave motions in the lamb problem

Soviet Applied Mechanics, 1981
The problem of the motion of an elastic halfspace (Lamb problem) excited at the surface (x-y plane) by a harmonic normal force is studied. Emphasis is layed on analyzing the partition of the energy among the different wave modes (longitudinal, transverse, Rayleigh) thus generated.

An energy analysis of the prescribed motion of an oscillator

Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, 2001
Abstract The energy consumption in the problem of the prescribed periodic motion of an oscillator is analysed. Since the solution of this problem by actuators involves extra weight and hence additional energy is required, it is proposed to use springs with linear or non-linear characteristics for local energy storage.

Energy filters, motion uncertainty, and motion sensitive cells in the visual cortex: a mathematical analysis

Biological Cybernetics, 1991
Energy filters are tuned to space-time frequency orientations. In order to compute velocity it is necessary to use a collection of filters, each tuned to a different space-time frequency. Here we analyze, in a probabilistic framework, the properties of the motion uncertainty.

Analysis of energy consumption in fundamental motion of industrial machines and experimental verification

2015 American Control Conference (ACC), 2015
This paper considers consumed energy reduction in fundamental point to point feed motion of industrial machines. First, we present a method to predict the energy consumed in AC motors operated in an S-curve trajectory consisting of trapezoidal acceleration/deceleration periods and constant velocity period, which are widely used in industrial machines ...
