Unsupervised Learning of Depth and Ego-Motion from Video [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2017
We present an unsupervised learning framework for the task of monocular depth and camera motion estimation from unstructured video sequences. In common with recent work [10, 14, 16], we use an end-to-end learning approach with view synthesis as the ...

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

Ship Motion Parameter Estimation and Refocusing Method Based on Minimization of Position Offset in Multiview Missile-Borne SAR Images

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Motion compensation helps mitigate the defocusing effects observed in ship synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images caused by ship’s noncooperative motion, and its effectiveness depends on the accuracy of motion parameter estimation.

Automatic Feature-Based Stabilization of Video with Intentional Motion through a Particle Filter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Video sequences acquired by a camera mounted on a hand held device or a mobile platform are affected by unwanted shakes and jitters. In this situation, the performance of video applications, such us motion segmentation and tracking, might dramatically be

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

EFFICIENT BLOCK MATCHING ALGORITHMS FOR MOTION ESTIMATION IN H.264/AVC [PDF]

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Image and Video Processing, 2015
In Scalable Video Coding (SVC), motion estimation and inter-layer prediction play an important role in elimination of temporal and spatial redundancies between consecutive layers.

Relative Importance of Binocular Disparity and Motion Parallax for Depth Estimation: A Computer Vision Approach

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2019
Binocular disparity and motion parallax are the most important cues for depth estimation in human and computer vision. Here, we present an experimental study to evaluate the accuracy of these two cues in depth estimation to stationary objects in a static
