Motion of Charged Particles near Magnetic Field Discontinuities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The motion of charged particles in slowly changing magnetic fields exhibits adiabatic invariance even in the presence of abrupt magnetic discontinuities.

Search for fractionally charged particles in pp collisions at √s=7  TeV [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A search is presented for free heavy long-lived fractionally charged particles produced in pp collisions at √s=7  TeV. The data sample was recorded by the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 5.0  fb[superscript -1 ...

Motion of a classical charged particle [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2006
The Lorentz-Dirac equation is not an unavoidable consequence of solely linear and angular momenta conservation for a point charge. It also requires an additional assumption concerning the elementary character of the charge. We here use a less restrictive elementarity assumption for a spinless charge and derive a system of conservation equations that ...

A Universal Description of Pseudorapidity Distributions in Both Nucleus-Nucleus and p-p Collisions at Currently Available Energies

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2016
Investigations have shown that the collective motion appears not only in nucleus-nucleus but also in p-p collisions. The best tool for depicting such collective motion is relativistic hydrodynamics. In this paper, the collective motion is assumed to obey

Magnetic field amplification driven by the gyro motion of charged particles

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Spontaneous magnetic field generation plays important role in laser-plasma interactions. Strong quasi-static magnetic fields affect the thermal conductivity and the plasma dynamics, particularly in the case of ultra intense laser where the magnetic part ...

Exact trajectories of charged particles in the Dirac monopole field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
We consider the motion of charged particles in the presence of a Dirac magnetic monopole. We use an extension of Noether's theorem for systems with magnetic forces and integrate explicitly the equations of ...

Motion of charged particles in an electromagnetic swirling universe: The complete set of solutions [PDF]

open access: yes
We discuss the motion of electrically and magnetically charged particles in the electromagnetic swirling universe. We show that the equations of motion can be decoupled in the Hamilton-Jacobi formalism, revealing the existence of a fourth constant of ...

MOTION TYPES OF NEUTRAL TEST PARTICLES IN THE FIELD OF CHARGED OBJECT IN GENERAL RELATIVITY AND THEIR CLASSIFICATION

open access: yesOdessa Astronomical Publications, 2013
In the previous work of one of the authors the radial motions of charged test particles in the field of a spherically symmetric charged object in general relativity were considered and their classification was built.

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.
