Development of energy analyzer of charged particles

open access: yesEurasian Physical Technical Journal, 2019
The electron-optical characteristics of a mirror energy analyzer based on a non-uniform, hyperbolic decreasing electrostatic field were investigated.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Acceleration of Charged Particles in Astrophysical Plasmas

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2021
The origin of high-energy particles in the Universe is one of the key issues of high-energy solar physics, space science, astrophysics, and particle astrophysics.

Orbital dynamics of earth-orbiting 'smart dust' spacecraft under the effects of solar radiation pressure and aerodynamic drag [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper investigates how the perturbations due to asymmetric solar radiation pressure, in presence of Earth's shadow, and atmospheric drag can be balanced to obtain long-lived Earth centered orbits for swarms of SpaceChips, without the use of active ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Bound Orbits and Epicyclic Motions around Renormalization Group Improved Schwarzschild Black Holes

open access: yesUniverse, 2022
We study timelike particles’ bound orbits around renormalization group improved Schwarzschild black holes (RGISBHs), which originate from renormalization group improvement of the Einstein–Hilbert action by using the running Newton constant.

The areas of motion in the planar magnetic-binaries problem

open access: yes, 1978
The purpose of this article is to present the areas of motion in the planar magneticbinaries problem and show their contribution to the behavioral study of a charged particle moving in such a system. © 1978 D.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Thermophoretic motion of a charged single colloidal particle

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2023
We calculate the thermophoretic drift of a charged single colloidal particle with hydrodynamically slipping surface immersed in an electrolyte solution in response to a small temperature gradient. Here, we rely on a linearized hydrodynamic approach for the fluid flow and the motion of the electrolyte ions while keeping the full nonlinearity of the ...
