Periodic Motion of a System of Two or Three Charged Particles

open access: yes, 2000
We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of T-periodic solutions of a system of second-order ordinary differential equations that models the motion of two or three collinear charged particles of the same ...

Mechanical Behavior and Fracture Mechanisms of MXene/PVDF Nanocomponsites: In Situ Characterization and Multiscale Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multiscale experiments and modeling reveal how Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets reinforce PVDF nanocomposites. An optimal MXene loading (∼1 wt.%) nearly doubles tensile strength through efficient stress transfer, flake alignment, and crack‐deflection mechanisms, transforming ductile polymer behavior into a controlled multi‐stage fracture pathway which aligns ...

Direct numerical investigations of dilute dispersed flows in homogeneous turbulence

open access: yes, 2012
The motivation for the present work is to investigate particle-laden turbulent flows using accurate numerical simulations. In the present work, the carrier phase is modeled using direct numerical simulations (DNS) and the particles are tracked in a ...

Motion of charged particles around a five-dimensional rotating magnetized black hole

open access: yes, 2007
We study the effect of an external magnetic field on the stability of circular motion of charged particles in the equatorial plane of a five-dimensional rotating black hole.

Oxygen‐Tunnel Indium Tin Oxide Vertical Channel Transistors with Enhanced Current Density and Reliability for Monolithic 3D Compute‐In‐Memory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection

Motion of particles in a magnetically charged Euler-Heisenberg black hole with scalar hair

open access: yes, 2023
We study the geodesic motion of uncharged particles in the background of a magnetically charged Euler-Heisenberg black hole with a scalar hair. The spacetime can be asymptotically (A)dS or flat and we find, analysing the behavior of the effective ...

Regulated Ion‐Diffusion Hydrogels for Subtle and Multimodal Temperature‐Strain Sensing in Wound Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A soft, dual‐channel hydrogel patch enables simultaneous detection of wound temperature and strain by integrating ion‐diffusion‐mediated thermoelectric and resistive sensing. The conformal design maintains stable performance during motion, capturing subtle inflammatory and mechanical changes for continuous wound monitoring.

Achieving High ON State Current through Ferroelectric Polarization‐Dependent Interfacial Resistance Switching in Undoped Orthorhombic HfO2 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric tunnel junction devices based on epitaxial undoped ferroelectric HfO2 films demonstrate stable switching endurance of over 106 switching cycles, low write voltages of ±3 V, 16 measured resistance states, and neuromorphic capability.

Analysis of motion-induced radiation of charged particles

open access: yes, 2012
Čerenkov radiation has hinted people to unfold energy transfer from kinetic energy of moving electrons to electromagnetic waves, evanescent or traveling.
