Individual Particle Motion in Colloids: Microviscosity, Microdiffusivity, and Normal Stresses [PDF]
Colloidal dispersions play an important role in nearly every aspect of life, from paint to biofuels to nano-therapeutics. In the study of these so-called complex fluids, a connection is sought between macroscopic material properties and the micromechanics

Motion of Charged Particles near Magnetic Field Discontinuities [PDF]
The motion of charged particles in slowly changing magnetic fields exhibits adiabatic invariance even in the presence of abrupt magnetic discontinuities.

Investigations have shown that the collective motion appears not only in nucleus-nucleus but also in p-p collisions. The best tool for depicting such collective motion is relativistic hydrodynamics. In this paper, the collective motion is assumed to obey

Motion of a classical charged particle [PDF]
The Lorentz-Dirac equation is not an unavoidable consequence of solely linear and angular momenta conservation for a point charge. It also requires an additional assumption concerning the elementary character of the charge. We here use a less restrictive elementarity assumption for a spinless charge and derive a system of conservation equations that ...

ADIABATIC CHARGED-PARTICLE MOTION [PDF]
The adiabatic theory of charged‐particle motion is developed systematically in this review. We present the essentials of the theory without giving all the analysis in detail. The general expressions for guiding‐center motion and particle energy change are given, with application to the Van Allen radiation and to Fermi acceleration.

On the initial-value problem of the Maxwell-Lorentz equations. [PDF]
We consider the Maxwell-Lorentz equations, i.e., the equation of motion of a charged dust coupled to Maxwell's equations, on an arbitrary general-relativistic spacetime.

Particle Motion around Charged Black Holes in Generalized Dilaton-Axion Gravity
The behaviour of massive and massless test particles around asymptotically flat and spherically symmetric, charged black holes in the context of generalized dilaton-axion gravity in four dimensions is studied. All the possible motions are investigated by

In the previous work of one of the authors the radial motions of charged test particles in the field of a spherically symmetric charged object in general relativity were considered and their classification was built.
