PAMPC: Perception-Aware Model Predictive Control for Quadrotors [PDF]
We present the first perception-aware model predictive control framework for quadrotors that unifies control and planning with respect to action and perception objectives. Our framework leverages numerical optimization to compute trajectories that satisfy the system dynamics and require control inputs within the limits of the platform.

Perception Of Visual Speed While Moving [PDF]
During self-motion, the world normally appears stationary. In part, this may be due to reductions in visual motion signals during self-motion. In 8 experiments, the authors used magnitude estimation to characterize changes in visual speed perception as a

The coherent heterostructure and the strong stress field at the heterointerface upshift the d‐band center of vanadium toward the Fermi level, which effectively lowers the Na+ diffusion barrier, facilitates charge transfer and accelerates reaction kinetics.

Motion Perception: Moving on the surface
Recent studies of motion perception show that, in the brain's internal representation of three-dimensional space, distances may be less important than relationships to surfaces.

Omnidirectional Transmissive Acoustic Metasurfaces Based on Goldberg Polyhedra
This study introduces omnidirectional acoustic metasurfaces capable of manipulating wavefronts in multiple arbitrary directions simultaneously. A full‐stack pipeline for design, optimization, and fabrication is presented to construct near‐spherical holograms based on Goldberg polyhedra.

Visually guided control of movement in the context of multimodal stimulation [PDF]
Flight simulation has been almost exclusively concerned with simulating the motions of the aircraft. Physically distinct subsystems are often combined to simulate the varieties of aircraft motion.

Limited Visibility and Uncertainty Aware Motion Planning for Automated Driving
Adverse weather conditions and occlusions in urban environments result in impaired perception. The uncertainties are handled in different modules of an automated vehicle, ranging from sensor level over situation prediction until motion planning.
