TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

The role of time-history effects in the formulation of the aerodynamics of aircraft dynamics [PDF]
The scope of any aerodynamic formulation proposing to embrace a range of possible maneuvers is shown to be determined principally by the extent to which the aerodynamic indicial response is allowed to depend on the past motion.

ABSTRACT As global populations age, cancer is increasingly becoming a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among older adults, particularly in low‐ and middle‐income countries (LMICs). Despite accounting for the majority of new cancer cases and deaths, older individuals remain underrepresented in cancer research, clinical guidelines, and health ...

Dynamic Behavior of a 10 MW Floating Wind Turbine Concrete Platform under Harsh Conditions
To ensure the safe and stable operation of a 10 MW floating wind turbine concrete platform under harsh sea conditions, the fluid–structure coupling theory was used to apply wind, wave, and current loads to a concrete semi-submersible floating platform ...

This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...

ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

Orcaflex-Based Simulation on Safe Entering Water of Subsea Emergency Capping Stacks
To ensure the safe water entering of the 3 000 m subsea emergency capping stacks, the water entering process of the 3 000 m subsea emergency capping stacks is simulated based on Orcaflex. The effects of different factors on the maximum force of the winch

Estimation of the Motion Response of a Large Ocean Buoy in the South China Sea
Ocean data buoys are among the most effective tools for monitoring marine environments. However, their measurement accuracy is affected by the motion of the buoys, making the hydrodynamic characteristics of buoys a critical issue.

Frequency-response techniques for documentation and improvement of rotorcraft simulators [PDF]
Pilot-in-the-loop characterizations are most naturally formulated in terms of end-to-end frequency responses, so a frequency-response-based method is the natural approach to assessing simulator dynamic fidelity.

ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the value of constructing models based on habitat radiomics and pathomics for predicting the risk of progression in high‐grade gliomas. Methods This study conducted a retrospective analysis of preoperative magnetic resonance (MR) images and pathological sections from 72 patients diagnosed with high‐grade gliomas (52 ...
