Shadow‐Calibrated Stereo Vision for Colorimetric Sweat Analysis
By establishing a mathematical model that reconstructs 3D structures through geometric features of object shadows under controlled illumination, and combining it with Convolutional Neural Network‐based 2D image analysis for volumetric calibration, this work enables highly accurate 3D morphological reconstruction.

A rotational energy harvesting device that successfully reconciles high power density with mechanical durability through a hybrid sliding‐and‐bouncing kinematic mechanism is reported. The success reported in our paper includes addressing a dilemma where enhanced electrical output comes at the cost of increased friction and wear, limiting the practical ...

05 | Motion sickness susceptibility in Icelandic seamen
Seafaring has long been central to Icelandic culture and economy, yet motion-related symptoms are highly prevalent among seamen. Previous research indicates that 88% of Icelandic seafarers have experienced seasickness and 86% have reported mal de ...

Cognitive cues and visually induced motion sickness
The importance of cognitive processing of orientation cues in visually induced motion sickness and vection is often overlooked. Upright versus inverted visual scenes containing cues of different levels of salience were compared.

Light‐switchable MSCs (MSC‐UCNPs) were constructed by intracellular incorporation of UCNPs. Upon 980 nm irradiation, UCNPs emitted localized ultraviolet light (365 nm), activating the ROS/HEXB/LAMP1 signaling pathway to suppress lysosome–multivesicular body fusion and thereby enhance exosome biogenesis. Embedded within an injectable hydrogel, MSC‐UCNPs

Palatable food alleviates stress and prevents anxiety. This study uncovers a dedicated neural pathway: dopamine release in the PFC activates D1R neurons, whose projections to the peri‐PVN engage a population of anxiolytic CRFR1 neurons. These neurons then inhibit stress‐induced hyperactivity of PVNCRF neurons, providing a circuit‐level explanation for ...

Compact Tabletop Magnetic Resonance Elastography for Mapping Soft Tissue Viscoelasticity
This work introduces a compact, low‐cost tabletop magnetic resonance elastography platform for high‐resolution viscoelastic mapping in soft‐tissue specimens. Using this method in human colorectal liver metastases, we demonstrate fully automated biomechanical profiling of treatment response and show that heterogeneity‐based metrics outperform ...
