Identification of the minimum set of inertial parameters of human body segments using a method applying free vibration measurements

open access: yesJournal of Biomechanical Science and Engineering
The inertial properties (mass, center of gravity, and inertia tensor) of an object are fundamental and important input values. They have a significant effect on the accuracy of human motion simulation.

Hybrid Auxetic Architectures: Integrating Curvature‐Driven Design for Enhanced Mechanical Tunability and Structural Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Curvature‐tuned auxetic lattices are designed, fabricated, and mechanically characterized to reveal how geometric curvature governs stretchability, stress redistribution, and Poisson's ratio evolution. Photoelastic experiments visualize stress pathways, while hyperelastic simulations quantify deformation mechanics.

Mechanism Analysis and Optimization Design of Exoskeleton Robot with Non-Circular Gear–Pentabar Mechanism

open access: yesMachines
To address the complex structure of existing rod mechanism exoskeleton robots and the difficulty in solving the motion trajectory of multi−rod mechanisms, an exoskeleton knee robot with a differential non−circular gear–pentarod mechanism is designed ...

3D‐Printed Serial Snap‐Through Architectures for Programmable Mechanical Response

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A serial snap‐through architecture is realized using compact 3D‐printed von Mises truss units arranged in a staged cascade. Their geometry and boundary conditions program multistage mechanical responses with plateaux and re‐hardening regimes. An inverted‐compliance model predicts these behaviors and enables analytical design of programmable force ...

Removing Homocoupling Defects in Alkoxy/Alkyl‐PBTTT Enhances Polymer:Fullerene Co‐Crystal Formation and Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...
