AbstractIn this article we introduce the local versions of the Voevodsky category of motives with$\mathbb{F} _p$-coefficients over a fieldk, parametrized by finitely generated extensions ofk. We introduce the so-calledflexiblefields, passage to which is conservative on motives.

Assessing the Ecological Value: Monetizing Process Innovations in Tailored Forming
This article introduces a method for evaluating the sustainability of innovations, even with limited data. The method is illustrated through an analysis of the “Tailored Forming” technology, which explores the impact of sustainability on economic value added.

Being realistic about motivation [PDF]
T.M. Scanlon’s ‘reasons fundamentalism’ is thought to face difficulties answering the normative question—that is, explaining why it’s irrational to not do what you judge yourself to have most reason to do (e.g., Dreier 2014a).

This study explores a process chain to produce dispersoid‐strengthened CuCr1Zr for applications requiring high strength and conductivity. Using gas‐atomized powder and copper‐plated alumina nanoparticles, additive manufacturing is performed via powder bed based additive manufacturing with green and red lasers, followed by heat treatment.

Noncommutative mixed (Artin) motives and their motivic Hopf dg algebras [PDF]
We start by developing a theory of noncommutative (=NC) mixed motives with coefficients in any commutative ring. In particular, we construct a symmetric monoidal triangulated category of NC mixed motives, over a base field k, and a full subcategory of NC mixed Artin motives.

That Escalated Quickly—Planning to Ignore RPE Can Backfire
Ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) are routinely assessed in exercise science and RPE is substantially associated with physiological criterion measures.

Underlying the Riemann Hypothesis there is a question whose full answer still eludes us: what do the zeros of the Riemann zeta function really mean? As a step toward answering this, André Weil proposed a series of conjectures that include a simplified version of the Riemann Hypothesis in which the meaning of the zeros becomes somewhat easier to ...

Developing process parameters for the laser‐based Powder Bed Fusion of metals can be a tedious task. Based on melt pool depth, the process parameters are transferable to different laser scan speeds. For this, understanding the melt pool scaling behavior is essential, particularly for materials with high thermal diffusivity, as a change in scaling ...
