Cooperativity in the motor activities of the ATP-fueled molecular motors
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Proteins and Proteomics, 2005Kinesin, myosin and F1-ATPase are multi-domain molecular motors with multiple catalytic subunits. The motor mechanochemics are achieved via the conversion of ATP hydrolysis energy into forces and motions. We find that the catalysis of these molecular motors do not follow the simple Michaelis-Menten mechanism.

[Motor activity of paramecium].
Biofizika, 2000A systemic study of the mechanisms of motor activity of paramecium was carried out. The movements of paramecium responding to various influences were photographed. The analysis of the data revealed the time dependences of the rate of movement, rate of rotation, and the radius and the pitch of the helix trajectory.

Cyclic motor activity; migrating motor complex: 1985
Gastroenterology, 1985Most of the gastrointestinal tract and the biliary tract have a cyclic motor activity. The electric counterpart of this motor activity is called cyclic myoelectric activity. A typical motor cycle in the LES, stomach, and small intestine is composed of a quiescent state, followed by progressively increasing amplitude and frequency of contractions ...

Handwriting as a motor activity
Insight, 1984Computer-based handwriting exercises were developed for students with handwriting difficulties, but normal vision, in 1976. These exercises were subsequently adapted for blind students by using the computer to translate visual information concerning pen movements and letter shapes into tactile and auditory form.

The vestibular nuclei and spinal motor activity
Journal of Psychiatric Research, 1971Publisher Summary This chapter describes the vestibular nuclei and spinal motor activity. Numerous supraspinal components of the central nervous system participate in the regulation of spinal motoneuron activity, among them the vestibular nuclei is located in the lower brain stem. The cells making up these nuclei are themselves under the influence of

Revue francaise de gynecologie et d'obstetrique, 1986
The authors propose a physiological classification of foetal motor activity. The methods of analysis of the play activity of the foetus are evaluated. The authors stress the enormous gap between the richness of foetal semiology and the poverty of the clinical deductions at the beginning and at the end of pregnancy.

Motor Activity in Schizophrenia
Archives of General Psychiatry, 1963Introduction In a number of previous reports 1-3 data have been presented showing that when chicken erythrocytes are incubated in plasma from patients with schizophrenia the ratio of lactate to pyruvate remaining in the medium is significantly higher than the ratio obtained using plasma from control subjects.
