Early Failure Detection and Diagnostics of High Speed Self Aligning Journal Bearing [PDF]
Because of their high load carrying capacity and low cost, journal bearings are widely used to support the rotor of industrial machinery with high loads, such as steam turbines, centrifugal compressors and pumps.

Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Learning to Hear Broken Motors: Signature-Guided Data Augmentation for Induction Motor Diagnostics
The application of machine learning (ML) algorithms in the intelligent diagnosis of three-phase engines has the potential to significantly enhance diagnostic performance and accuracy. Traditional methods largely rely on signature analysis, which, despite being a standard practice, can benefit from the integration of advanced ML techniques. In our study,

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Hybrid Modeling of an Induction Machine to Support Bearing Diagnostics
In this article, a novel hybrid model of an induction machine is proposed that can emulate the response of a machine with a faulty bearing. The idea behind developing such a topology is to have the response quite close to that from a real asset while ...

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...
