Combustion performance of vehicle diesel motor

Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Electronic & Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology, 2011
In this paper, we have mainly analyzed the four periods of diesel motor's combustion process, which includes the questions about ignition delay, rapid combustion period, slow combustion period and aux-combustion period. We also have studied the formation reasons about incomplete combustion, noise of ignition phenomenon, and exhaust smoke.

Calculation of diesel fuel motor characteristics

Chemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems, 1994
Abstract Khots, M.S., Nazarov, V.I. and Rudyak, K.B., 1994. Calculation of diesel fuel motor characteristics. Chemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems , 22: 265–271. A procedure for the calculation of diesel fuel motor characteristics using a set of physicochemical data has been proposed. First, the results of measurements characterizing the

Motor starting on diesel generators

Electronics and Power, 1977
When a standby generator set is called on to take over the mains supply, it will probably have to restart motors that have decelerated or stopped during the 10-15 s the standby set takes to run up. But standby sets have higher impedances than the mains, so how do you decide on an economically sized generator, of standard build, compatible with an ...

Quinone Emissions from Gasoline and Diesel Motor Vehicles

Environmental Science & Technology, 2007
Gas- and particle-phase emissions from gasoline and diesel vehicles operated on chassis dynamometers were collected using annular denuders, quartz filters, and PUF substrates. Quinone species were measured using O-(2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorobenzyl)hydroxylamine derivatization in conjunction with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and high-performance ...

Failure mode analysis of a diesel motor crankshaft

Engineering Failure Analysis, 2017
Abstract A failure mode analysis of a diesel motor (110 kW) crankshaft from an automobile vehicle is presented. After 120,000 km in service, an abnormal vibration was detected which was increasing with the time. The diesel motor was first disassembled for determining the root cause, however without success.

Motor Oil for Augmented Truck Diesel Engines

Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, 2002
TThe harsh conditions of use of highly augmented two—cycle diesel engines with a power—to—volume ratio of more than 45 kW ( ambient temperature under 55°C, coolant and oil temperature of 130°C) impose heightened requirements not only for reliability of construction but also for motor oil quality.
