Long‐term trends in nitrogen oxide emissions from motor vehicles at national, state, and air basin scales

open access: yes, 2012
[1] A fuel-based approach is used to estimate nitrogen oxides (NOx = NO + NO2) emissions from gasoline- and diesel-powered motor vehicles. Estimates are made at the national level for the period 1990–2010.

Development of Aluminum Scandium Alloys for Hydrogen Storage Valves

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Different aluminum alloy series and various aluminum‐scandium alloys with differing Sc and Zr levels are evaluated for use in hydrogen storage valve production. The alloys undergo hardness testing, optical microscopy, and tensile strength analysis, with hardening behavior studied under varying conditions.

Strength and Ultrasonic Testing of Acrylic Foam Adhesive Tape

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Adhesive joints are some of the oldest inseparable connections, and were used much earlier than other non-separable connections (e.g., welded, soldered).

Combining Metal Additive Manufacturing and Casting Technology: High Performance Cooling Channels for Electric Powertrain Components

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
When realized as inserts in high‐pressure die casting, aluminum cooling channels for electric powertrain components and similar applications typically require a stabilizing filler to survive the process. The present study investigates relinquishing this filler using additively manufactured inserts promising performance improvements.

Reliable Integrated ASC and DYC Control of All-Wheel-Independent-Drive Electric Vehicles Over CAN Using a Co-Design Methodology

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper deals with the negative effects of the in-vehicle network on the integrated anti-slip control (ASC) and direct yaw-moment control (DYC) of all-wheel-independent-drive electric vehicles (AWID-EVs). In the integrated control design of the modern

Evaluation of braze welded joints using the ultrasonic method

open access: yesOpen Engineering
Brazed welded joints are increasingly used in the construction of motor vehicle bodies due to the fact that in the process of their manufacture, there is no damage to the zinc coating that protects the body sheet from corrosion. The main objective of the
