Türkiye Siyaset Bilimi DergisiPost-politik dönemde antagonizmaların kalkıp her şeyin mutabakat ile çözüleceğine inanç vardı. Kimlikler, sağ-sol ayrımı ortadan kalkacaktı ve çatışmalar kolektif boyuttan bireysel boyuta inecekti. Fakat Mouffe bunu kabul etmez. Ona göre husumet her daim var olacaktır. Mouffe için demokratik siyasetin doğasında husumet vardır.
