Apyrases of Moulds

Nature, 1951
THE mycelial mats of Aspergillus niger and Penicillium chrysogenum possess apyrase activity. The organisms were grown as surface cultures on synthetic media, and at regular intervals the mat was analysed for apyrase activity and for ‘7-minutes phosphate’ in the acid-soluble fraction.

Mould thermal monitoring: a window on the mould

Ironmaking & Steelmaking, 2004
AbstractCorus R,D&T at Teesside Technology Centre has developed over a number of years a mould thermal monitoring (MTM) system based on an array of thermocouples in the mould copper plates. The system is installed on the Corus slab casters in the UK, on slab casters at Outokumpu (UK), Sidmar (Belgium) and Kosice (Slovakia) and, at the time of the 4th ...

Mould pressure control in rotational moulding

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part B: Journal of Engineering Manufacture, 2004
The technology of the rotational moulding of plastics has improved dramatically in recent years due to the recognition that measuring the temperature inside the mould is fundamental to process control. The next major advance will be made when the benefits of controlling the pressure inside the mould are fully utilized.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MOULDED PART IN A MOULD

2002
The invention relates to a method for producing a moulded part in a mould comprising at least one cavity that is surrounded by a mould wall. According to said method, the temperature of the mould wall and the internal pressure of the mould are measured and analysed and said analysis is used to regulate the injection speed, the dwell pressure, the dwell
