Impact of the Different Moulding Parameters on Properties of the Green Sand Mould
Sand Casting process depends mainly on properties of the green sand mould, sand casting requires requires producing green sand mould without failure and breakage during separation the mould from the model, transportation and handling. Production of the green sand mould corresponding to dimensions and form of the desired model without troubles depends ...

A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Hydrogen‐Assisted Fracture of Iron‐Based Fe–Ni–Al Alloys
Principal relations and fracture mechanisms of single‐phase and precipitate‐strengthened Fe–Ni–Al alloys subjected to prior electrochemical hydrogen charging are identified. The mechanisms of hydrogen effect on strength and microhardness are discussed, including hydrogen‐induced increase in microhardness and the role of hydrogen in fracture behavior ...

Selection of hardening technology of moulding sand with hydrated sodium silicate binder devoted to aluminum alloys ablation casting [PDF]
The ablation casting technology consists in pouring castings in single-use moulds made from the mixture of sand and watersoluble binder. After pouring the mould with liquid metal, while the casting is still solidifying, the mould destruction (washing out,

A robust plant protein adhesive was prepared by fabricating a bi‐continuous organic–inorganic hybrid structure. Compared with traditional organic–inorganic hybrid adhesives, the addition amount of inorganic phase is increased from 0.2%–3.0% to 50%, and the strength and toughness are increased by 6 and 121 times, respectively.

Shaping Matter with Acoustic Waves: From Particles to Functional Structures
Acoustic‐directed assembly is reviewed as a materials‐oriented strategy for organizing particles, polymers, metals, and biological systems into functional structures. The review distinguishes reversible manipulation from permanent structure formation through medium fixation, particle fixation, and in situ material generation, highlighting routes toward
