Abstract The tribe Browallieae is a monophyletic group comprising Browallia and Streptosolen. These genera are of significant interest in the horticulture industry due to their ornamental potential. Despite their clear placement in Solanaceae, the tribe presents several taxonomic, phylogenetic, and nomenclatural challenges.

Phylogeny and historical biogeography of the Pachira sensu lato clade (Bombacoideae, Malvaceae) with a new infrageneric classification

Abstract We explore phylogenetic relationships within the Pachira sensu lato clade (Bombacoideae, Malvaceae), test the monophyly of the genera Eriotheca and Pachira, and investigate their biogeographic history. Correctable or not? The case of plant epithets derived from the Elbrus/Elburs Mountains in Iran, with further notes on taxonomic grey literature

Characteristics of unique cap, Tsurushi and Hata clouds around Mount Fuji

Distinct clouds, such as cap clouds, Tsurushi (a type of lenticular cloud) and Hata (banner cloud‐like clouds), frequently form around Mount Fuji, an isolated peak with a slightly elliptical conical shape. Here, we examine their characteristics and occurrence patterns.
