Abstract Recent focus has shifted toward refining the soft tissue emergence profile to enhance aesthetics, support peri‐implant health, and ensure long‐term success. Traditionally, titanium stock healing abutments or chairside‐customized abutments were used to shape peri‐implant tissues and develop the emergence profile for implant‐supported prostheses.

Abstract This dental technique demonstrates an approach to integrating an intra‐oral scan and a poly vinyl siloxane impression of the functional sulcus for a completely edentulous maxilla. The intra‐oral scan and polyvinyl siloxane impression are aligned in the oral cavity via the design and subsequent manufacture of a custom impression tray with a ...

Effect of angulation between multi‐unit abutments on trueness of photogrammetry systems
Abstract Purpose To compare the trueness between conventional impressions (CI) and photogrammetry for full‐arch implant‐supported prosthesis and to evaluate the effect of increased inter‐abutment angulation on trueness. Materials and Methods Three edentulous reference models containing four multiunit abutment (MUA) replicas with different inter ...

Incidence and Risk Factors of Peri‐Implantitis Over Time—A Prospective Cohort Study
Identifying true risk factors requires a longitudinal evaluation to verify the temporality criterion. This study identified periodontitis (stage and grade), lifestyle behaviours (smoking and sleep duration), implant location, and prosthetic factors (restoration type and margin location) as risk factors for peri‐implantitis.

Abstract Objective Oral leukoplakia (OL) is one of the most common and investigated oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMD). Preventing OSCC occurrence should be the primary outcome in the clinical management of OL. Surgical removal of OL is performed by most clinicians, although its effectiveness in reducing OSCC onset has still not been ...

Prevalence of Crown Resorption in Amelogenesis Imperfecta due to Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa
ABSTRACT Introduction Junctional epidermolysis bullosa (JEB) is a rare genetic disease manifesting with skin and mucosal blistering. As part of the JEB, patients present with syndromic amelogenesis imperfecta (AI). Reports have described external crown resorption (ECR) in the teeth of patients with JEB, but its prevalence is unknown.
