Intermittent neuroleptic treatment induces long-lasting abnormal mouthing in the rat
European Journal of Pharmacology, 1989Rats were treated either discontinuously or continuously with haloperidol. Only discontinuous treatment caused a long-lasting abnormal rise in the number of mouth movements. After termination of medication the animals were kindled electrically in the nucleus amygdala. Recurring Mouth Ulcer and Skin Rash in a Man With Abnormal Chest Radiograph
Chest, 201028-year-old man presented to his dentist with an unresolving left mouth ulcer associated with tenderness over his left jaw. He was a chronic smoker of 10 pack-years, and over the preceding 4 years, the ulcer had regressed when he stopped smoking and relapsed when he restarted.

A preliminary diagnosis of acute localized exanthematous pustulosis (ALEP) was made, which was later confirmed by cultures and histopathological examination.

Marine Pollution Bulletin, 2016Nutrient concentration and phytoplankton biomass were investigated in Huangyan Atoll in May 2015. The concentrations of nutrients were very low, and dissolved inorganic nitrogen was composed mainly of ammonia. Nitrogen likely was the primary limiting factor for phytoplankton growth.

This study provides an alternative explanation for the unusual apparent decline in food consumption in rural China after 2000. We find that it is mainly attributable to significant measurement errors in the Chinese Rural Household Survey and the calculation of per capita food consumption.
