Observation and Analysis of a Moving Slope

2023
A northbound motorway close to the city of Barcelona has shown various deformation signs in its pavement and, as a consequence, it has been the subject of numerous studies and projects, aimed at reducing the road maintenance costs. In the area object of the present study, the road follows a slope, which is located below an old quarry converted in a ...

Automatic Analysis of Moving Images

IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 1981
Cine film and videotape are used to record a variety of natural processes in biology, medicine, meteorology, etc. This paper describes a system which detects and tracks moving objects from these records to obtain meaningful measures of their movements, such as linear and angular velocities. Features of the system are as follows.

Calcium image analysis in the moving gut

Neurogastroenterology & Motility, 2023
AbstractBackgroundThe neural control of gastrointestinal muscle relies on circuit activity whose underlying motifs remain limited by small‐sample calcium imaging recordings confounded by motion artifact, paralytics, and muscle dissections. We present a sequence of resources to register images from moving preparations and identify out‐of‐focus events in

Perceptual Analysis of Moving Patterns

Science, 1976
Configurations of moving points are often perceptually analyzed into relative and common vectors that are different from the actual motions. If a movement configuration is abruptly replaced by a test point whose objective velocity continues the apparent (but illusory) course of one of the original points, observers perceive that course as uninterrupted

Mediator Analysis of Moms on the Move

Western Journal of Nursing Research, 2005
This study examined whether improvements in physical activity discovered in a test of Moms on the Move were mediated by the behavioral constructs from which the intervention was derived. Identifying mediator variables is vital for intervention planning.

Analysis of Moving Patterns of Moving Objects with the Proposed Framework

2009
This paper proposes an analysis framework which enables us to analyze the moving patterns of moving objects. To show the effectiveness of the framework, we applied the framework to analyze moving patterns of taxis based on the real-life location history data accumulated from the Taxi Telematics system developed in Jeju, Korea.

Analysis of the Detection of a Moving Line

Perception, 1978
A model is proposed to explain the effects of line motion on visual sensitivity. The model incorporates recent evidence for parallel ‘pattern’ and ‘flicker’ systems. An element of either system consists of a spatial filter followed by a temporal filter; the characteristics of these filters were derived from previous psychophysical measurements.

Motion analysis of a moving elastic beam with a moving mass

1999 IEEE/ASME International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics (Cat. No.99TH8399), 1999
The vibrational motion of an elastic beam fixed on a moving cart and carrying a moving mass was investigated. The equations of motion which describes the total dynamics of the beam-mass-cart system were derived and the coupled dynamic equations were solved by unconstrained modal analysis. In modal analysis, the exact normal mode solutions corresponding

Moving image analysis system

SPIE Proceedings, 1989
The recent introduction of a two dimensional interactive software package provides a new technique for quantitative analysis. Integrated with its corresponding peripherals, the same software offers either film or video data reduction. Digitized data points measured from the images are stored in the computer.

Ontological Knowledge for Rhetorical Move Analysis

Computación y Sistemas, 2019
Scholarly writing in the experimental biomedical sciences follows the IMRaD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) structure. Many Biomedical Natural Language Processing tasks take advantage of this structure. Recently, a new challenging information extraction task has been introduced as a means of obtaining these types of detailed ...
