Phosphorus and Nitrogen Removal in Moving-Bed Sequencing Batch Biofilm Reactors
A pilot moving-bed sequencing batch biofilm reactor (MBSBBR) fed with primary settled wastewater, was used in order to study organic carbon, phosphorus and nitrogen removal with and without external carbon sources. Patented KMT® polyethylene biofilm carriers were used.

Modeling of residence time distribution : application to a three-phase inverse fluidized bed based on a Mellin transform [PDF]
The study is focused on modeling of gas and liquid residence time distribution in an aerated liquid system of an inverse fluidized bed bioreactor. Two opposite strategies are currently available: the use of powerful complex computational fluid dynamics ...

A moving bed reactor concept for alkane isomerization
We consider the isomerization of 2-methylpentane (2MP) to the di-branched isomer 2,2 dimethylbutane (22DMB) and examine various strategies for improving the conversion of 2MP, exceeding the limitation imposed by reaction equilibrium.
