Long‐Term Neurologic Exam Findings in People Diagnosed and Treated During Acute HIV Infection
ABSTRACT Objective Evaluate clinical and laboratory correlates of abnormal neurologic exam findings after acute HIV infection (AHI). Methods Participants from the RV254/SEARCH 010 cohort in Bangkok underwent standardized neurologic examinations at Weeks 0 (AHI), 12, 96, and 288 following antiretroviral therapy (ART).

Moving least squares reconstruction for B-spline Material Point Method [PDF]
The paper shows a moving least squares reconstruction technique applied to the B-spline Material Point Method (B-spline MPM). B-spline MPM have shown to reduce the grid-crossing errors inherent in the original Material Point Method. However, in the large

ABSTRACT Objective To determine whether myelin‐sensitive quantitative MRI reveals microstructural abnormalities in normal‐appearing cortex (NACtx) in myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody–associated disease (MOGAD), indicating that conventional MRI underestimates remission residual cortical injury.

Global Search Strategies for Solving Multilinear Least-Squares Problems
The multilinear least-squares (MLLS) problem is an extension of the linear least-squares problem. The difference is that a multilinear operator is used in place of a matrix-vector product.

Gravity‐Dependent Modulation of Downbeat Nystagmus: Insights From Velocity‐Storage Dysfunction
ABSTRACT Objective Downbeat nystagmus varies with head position, a phenomenon termed gravity‐dependent modulation. We aimed to clarify its mechanism using a velocity‐storage model. Methods In 10 patients with downbeat nystagmus due to cerebellar disorders, we recorded eye movements at different pitch‐ and roll‐axis head positions.

Adaptive Multi-Element Stochastic Moving Least Squares for Uncertainty Quantification [PDF]
A moving least squares-based uncertainty quantification method has been developed and applied to a variety of stochastic differential equations. The focus of the approaches presented in this thesis is on resolving the long-term integration problem ...

Global Rather Than Vertical‐Selective Saccadic Abnormalities in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
ABSTRACT Objective To test whether vertical saccades are preferentially affected in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Methods PSP patients (n = 24) were compared to age‐matched controls (n = 94) and two degenerative groups (Alzheimer's disease, n = 20; Lewy body disease, n = 50).

Abstract Provably Good Moving Least Squares [PDF]
We analyze a moving least squares algorithm for reconstructing a surface from point cloud data. Our algorithm defines an implicit function I whose zero set U is the reconstructed surface.

In this study, we develop a numerical method to represent turbulent flow in various 2D vector fields using the Monte Carlo method-based MLS (Moving Least Squares) from a density field and express it as a learning representation through a neural network ...

Objective Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon because of the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.
