Color Transfer Using Probabilistic Moving Least Squares
2014 IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2014This paper introduces a new color transfer method which is a process of transferring color of an image to match the color of another image of the same scene. The color of a scene may vary from image to image because the photographs are taken at different times, with different cameras, and under different camera settings.

Error estimates for moving least square approximations
Applied Numerical Mathematics, 2001We obtain error estimates for moving least square approximations in the one-dimensional case. For the application of this method to the numerical solution of differential equations it is fundamental to have error estimates for the approximations of derivatives.

Image demosaicking based on moving least square
Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing, 2020We present a demosaicking method based on moving least square to estimate to-be-interpolated color pixels. Demosaicking is a severely ill-posed problem and we need to reconstruct two color channels for each pixel. To predict the missing color pixels using the given color pixels, we rely on a generic local approximation function using moving least ...

Discontinuity-Preserving Moving Least Squares Method
2004We present a discontinuity-preserving moving-least-squares (MLS) method with applications in curve and surface reconstruction, domain partitioning, and image restoration. The fundamental power of this strategy rests with the moving support domain selection for each data point from its neighbors and the associated notion of compactly supported weighting

Moving Weighted Least-Squares Methods
1979Moving weighted least squares are defined and analyzed with a view to clarifying their algebraic structure and imposing sufficient conditions to guarantee interpolating and smoothness properties of the resulting surface.

Moving identification via weighted least-squares estimation
International Journal of Systems Science, 1987Moving identification using weighted least-squares estimation is developed. Two weighting factors are used: one for discarding old data, the other for adding new data, and these two weighting factors are chosen to ensure that the estimated parameters are convergent. The sufficient conditions for the convergent property are also presented.

Moving-horizon nonlinear least squares-based multirobot cooperative perception
2015 European Conference on Mobile Robots (ECMR), 2015In this article we present an online estimator for multirobot cooperative localization and target tracking based on nonlinear least squares minimization. Our method not only makes the rigorous optimization-based approach applicable online but also allows the estimator to be stable and convergent.
