The Gut–Heart Axis in Systemic Sclerosis: Evidence From a Large Prospective Early Disease Cohort

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Cardiac involvement significantly impacts prognosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc), highlighting the need for early risk stratification. Gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms are common and often manifest early. Emerging data suggest a link between GI and cardiac manifestations, possibly through shared mechanisms like dysautonomia.

Engagement Patterns With an Artificial Intelligence Health Coach for Systemic Sclerosis Self‐Management: A Mixed Methods Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective To evaluate utility of an artificial intelligence (AI) health coach for systemic sclerosis (SSc) self‐management and identify patterns associated with participant engagement. Methods We conducted a mixed methods study in which an AI health coach, powered by a large language model (LLM), was used to support self‐management for SSc.

Semantic management of moving objects: A vision towards smart mobility [PDF]

open access: yesExpert Systems With Applications, 2015
This position paper presents our vision for the semantic management of moving objects. We argue that exploiting semantic techniques in mobility data management can bring valuable benefits to many domains characterized by the mobility of users and moving ...

The Position of Moving Objects

Perception, 1998
Moving objects occupy a range of positions during the period of integration of the visual system. Nevertheless, a unique position is usually observed. We investigate how the trajectory of a stimulus influences the position at which the object is seen. It has been shown before that moving objects are perceived ahead of static objects shown at the same ...

Clustering moving objects

Proceedings of the tenth ACM SIGKDD international conference on Knowledge discovery and data mining, 2004
Due to the advances in positioning technologies, the real time information of moving objects becomes increasingly available, which has posed new challenges to the database research. As a long-standing technique to identify overall distribution patterns in data, clustering has achieved brilliant successes in analyzing static datasets.

Detecting moving objects

International Journal of Computer Vision, 1990
The detection of moving objects is important in many tasks. This paper examines moving object detection based primarily on optical flow. We conclude that in realistic situations, detection using visual information alone is quite difficult, particularly when the camera may also be moving.

Hashing Moving Objects

2001
In many real-life applications, objects need to be both spatially and temporally referenced. With the advancements of wireless communication and positioning technologies, the demand for storing and indexing moving objects, which are the objects continuously changing their locations, in database systems rises.
